The fund, administered by the City of Lynchburg’s Office of Economic Development & Tourism, is supported by amusement taxes collected by arts organizations in the James River Arts & Cultural District as well as a grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts. Since its inception in 2012, the program has awarded 94 grants to various organizations for projects such as Percival’s Island LOVEworks sculpture, the Academy Center of the Arts’ Riverfront Park

  • Organizations may submit no more than two applications per fiscal year. This does not include organizations that host events through facility rental agreements.
  • You will be required to submit a final report upon completion of your activity/project.
